Spiritual death has infected the lost world in Satan. His characteristics rule the lost. Satan sets the agenda, the unbelieving world follows, and mankind continues to be deceived. It is no wonder that Scripture calls Satan a liar, John 8:44.
God is still sovereign. But it does mean that God, in His infinite wisdom, has allowed Satan to operate in this world within the boundaries God has set for him. When the Bible says Satan has power over the world, we must remember that God has given him domain over unbelievers only. Believers are no longer under the rule of Satan (Colossians 1:13). Unbelievers, on the other hand, are caught "in the snare of the devil" (2 Timothy 2:26) lie in the "power of the evil one" (1 John 5:19) and are in bondage to Satan (Ephesians 2:2).
Satan is the "god of this world," it is not saying that he has ultimate authority. It is conveying the idea that Satan rules over the unbelieving world in a specific way. 2 Corinthians 4:4 points out the unbeliever follows Satan's agenda: "The god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ." Satan's scheme includes promoting false philosophies in the world—philosophies that blind the unbeliever to the truth of the Gospel. Satan's philosophies are the fortresses in which people are imprisoned, and they must be set free by Christ. (Collated from GotQuestions.Org; See URL below))
CROSSED OVER FROM DEATH TO LIFE
Our God has blessed us in unmerited grace with faith to cross over from spiritual death to life eternal in Christ. Dealing with the lost is dealing with the walking dead. Minds darkened to the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is a fantasy and lunacy to such dead souls bound for eternal separation from God and His family of faith, and our life, a waste of time and a rude disturbance to them. As God permits, indeed commands us, we tell them the truth of Jesus. And having done this sowing of His truth, God is served and His Glory magnified. And this is our rest, in our service in the Spirit, in Christ. This is our refreshing, our calling, our worship in this way among other ways, as Jesus has instructed us.
"Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand" (Isaiah 53:10).
"...[He] was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors" (Isaiah 53:12).
"Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ..." (Romans 5:1).
"For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified" (1 Corinthians 2:2).
GOD PREPARES US
God prepares those He calls to this ministry. We are all called. All Saints. All priests in Christ. All responsible to account for time spent here. Lord God, more and more, we pray, be our breaths and the beats of our heart for the Glory of our Father by His only begotten, the Lord and Savior, Redeemer and husband to be, we so much love who loved us first and by His blood made us free to serve Him, which is His life in action, in love, through us. When we walk upright we walk in you, Holy Lord, we walk the talk, no chit chat, we KNOW our redeemer lives because we KNOW He lives and so do we.
WE ARE HIS CHURCH (The word "church" represents the Greek word ecclesia, originally meaning "meeting, assembly", the usual Septuagint translation of Hebrew qahal, "congregation [of Israel]", as in Deuteronomy 31:30 and elsewhere. The word "Catholic", meaning "universal", was first applied the Church by St. Ignatius of Antioch in his letter to the Smyrnaeans in 110. It was repeatedly used to describe the "universal" congregation of the believers of the pure Word of Christ in theological works such as St. Augustine of Hippo in his books Confessions in 394 and City of God in 410.)
Church is where the Lord is.
Its a ministry of The Holy Spirit through pardoned sinners.
By the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Scriptures
We are HIS Church, A called out one. Called out by God! In, but not of, this world.
We have been raised from the spiritually dead by Him
And born from above for His glory. To live is Christ.
The dead world holds no merit nor joy for us except as we live Jesus Christ crucified,
In newness of life, in His truth and in His love.
We are priest's and saint's, minister's of the Gospel (1Pet.2:9)
God has called us out to serve Him at His pleasure.
And we look for a better place Christ has built for us
The Golden City, New Jerusalem (Heb.13:14)
We are His. He will never give us up.
OUR SALVATION IS SECURE IN HIM.
(Jn.10:27-29, Eph.4:30; Rom.8:27)
CHRIST OUR SURE HOPE
Here we struggle. But not in vain. The world ignores. The world is a glorified graveyard. The plots are expensive. The deals empty. The news a recapitulation in glorified forms of sin glorified, the consequence of the fall of man who remain Godless, and there is nothing new under the sun. Same old same old, magnified.
"For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit" (1 Peter 3:18).
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me" Gal.2:20
THE GREATEST PROMISE OF JESUS
"...I will come again and receive you unto myself, so that where I am there you also will be"
THE PLACE TO BE
"Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me; for you loved me before the foundation of the world"
THE CITY BUILT BY HIM FOR US
"And I, John, saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband,"
"...and the city was pure gold."
THE FAITH THAT SAVES IS FROM GOD
The promise of eternal life our Lord made stands before us like a great beacon of hope. His word is not subject to failure our faith is not in vain. We who believe He is the resurrection and the life, the One who conquered death and defeated the powers of this world, live by our faith in His completed ministry (Jn.11:25-26). And we await His call. At that blessed moment we will have eternal life! (1Thes.4:13-18; Jn.14:21; 17:24; Ti.2:13; 1Cor.15:51-52).
EMPOWRED THROUGH JESUS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Lord Jesus is our daily bread. His body He gave we remember, in daily prayer for forgiveness in Him, we remember, His blood He shed, in constant adoration and great praise, in humility, in meekness, in His Love, we know He is our sure hope that He will finish His supernatural work in us in the faith He gave us, perfecting us in His perfection, as promised, through God the Holy Spirit Jesus sent us, THAT DAY HE CALLS. John 16:7-11; Chapter 17.
And awaiting us in Heaven above:
THIS SAME GLORY IN WHICH HE SHINES BEYOND A BILLION STARS AFLAME, SO TO WILL WE, IN HIS LIKENESS, THROUGHOUT THE GALAXIES UNLIMITED, IN LIFE NEVER ENDING, ALL BECAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST ...
WE SERVE HIM THROUGH THIS SELF SAME LOVE, HE GAVE IT ALL, BY HOLY SPIRIT SENT, THAT WE COULD LOVE AS HE.
