Is the Lords supper for the Body of Christ today?

Aside from the ritual of communion, as practiced by the Catholic church which is particularly perverse in that they actually believe the cracker and wine really become the actual body and blood of Christ, there are many Christian churches that practice the Lords supper, along with their other Jewish ordinances of keeping the law, water baptism, repenting of sins, confessing of sins, tithing, etc etc.
With the Lords supper, the case has been suggested that it was not an OT ordinance, but a NT celebration endorsed by Paul.
However, close study shows that this was not the case, and Paul did not instruct us to ever celebrate the lords supper.

The Body of Christ today and our corresponding program is based on Faith; we DO NOT participate in the Lords Supper (Israel's Program) and neither did our apostle PAUL whom actually reproved and corrected the Corinthians NOT to come together for this reason but to come together for 'edification' which we will closely examine in this study.
Many disciples who practiced "The Lords Supper (kingdom saints)", who had no foresight of the Mystery Program were commanded to practice The Lords Supper until "The 2nd Coming" (yet their program was interrupted) and they came together with the Body of Christ members and brought this practice with them in Corinth whom Paul rebuked and corrected.

First understand the book of 1st Corinthians was written in Acts 19 at Ephesus (Paul visited Corinth in 18:1) and is KEY to understand that Acts/Corinthians has transitional elements with the diminishing away of Israel's program as Paul is establishing the Body of Christ during his provoking ministry.
The book of 1st Corinthians is a book of REPROOF & Correction ; our Apostle is NOT praising the Corinthians :

1 Corinthians 11:17 KJV
[17] Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
+ I praise you NOT +
Paul is saying there is heresies among you and when you come together it's NOT to eat the "Lords Supper" :

1 Corinthians 11:19-20 KJV
[19] For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. [20] When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.
+NOT to eat the Lord's Supper+
The Corinthians were

+Cutting in Line

+Letting others hunger
+Getting Drunk

They could've very well ate and drank at their house not to have only an excuse to get together, just for these matters ; Paul says, "I praise you not":

1 Corinthians 11:21-22 KJV
[21] For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. [22] What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

Paul is shaming the Corinthians in how when they come together it is "NOT for the better, but for the WORSE" :

1 Corinthians 11:17-18 KJV
[17] Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse. [18] For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

Modern Christendom equates breaking of bread and communion always to 'The Lords Supper', yet in the bible this is not always the case (breaking of bread and communion doesn't always take place on Passover either).

Breaking of Bread
This is simply meaning to come together to eat; something done when fellowshipping, certainly not 'only' tied to the Lords Supper in every instance in the scriptures.

Example
Acts 2:46 KJV
[46] And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

The disciples would come together to 'break bread' on the first day of the week around the same time 1 Corinthians was written in Acts 20:7 to fellowship :

Acts 20:7 KJV
[7] And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

Communion

Simply means to : Communicate, Partnership, and Fellowship; see G2842 (κοινωνία)
These are all concepts (communion + breaking bread) not always being applied to the Lords Supper as we see in 1 Corinthians 10:16-17 (the following is the verse that many mistake) :

1 Corinthians 10:16-17 KJV
[16] The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? [17] For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

This verse is in the middle of a Chapter speaking of Israel and the eating of things sacrificed unto idols (read 1 Corinthians 10:1-7;18); these people are NOT celebrating the Passover like the 12 did with Jesus in the upper room. They are simply fellowshipping together, and eating. Signifying something yet very special about THE BODY as an example.

1 Corinthians 10:16-17 KJV
[16] The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? [17] For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

The verses that every denomination wants to use to PROVE Paul partook in the Lords Supper is Grossly misinterpreted and we will examine what is being said here in these exact verses.

Notice FIRST that Paul is speaking of the NIGHT Jesus was BETRAYED in TIME PAST in Jesus's Earthly Ministry :

Paul RECEIVED this information from the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ and DELIVERED this unto us. This verse does not say Paul received bread and delivered The Lords Supper unto us.

1 Corinthians 11:23-32 KJV
[23] For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: [24] And when he had given thanks, he brake it , and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. [25] After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it , in remembrance of me. [26] For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. [27] Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. [28] But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. [29] For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. [30] For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. [31] For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. [32] But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Now I am the biggest KJV advocate you will find, and I have come to realization that the KJV Translators are NOT responsible for the RED LETTERS in the KJV but Klopsch, who Published the first Red Letter in 1899 - 1901 way after the 1611 was published.

^Question^
Who took the bread here 'Paul' or 'Jesus' :

1 Corinthians 11:23 KJV
[23] For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

^Answer^
Jesus took the bread : not Paul
The day Jesus was betrayed in
Time Past (Lords Table in the Upper Room what Jesus was saying to the 12).

^Question^
Who's the "He" in the verse?
Who's the "you here"?

1 Corinthians 11:24 KJV
[24] And when he had given thanks, he brake it , and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

^Answer^
He = JESUS
You = The 12 in the upper room (Time Past) NOT the Body of Christ.

Last Question
What's the difference between :
1 Corinthians 11:32 KJV [32] But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

And

1 Corinthians 4:3 KJV
[3] But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.

Answer : The Speaker ((11:33 Jesus is speaking // 4:3 Paul is speaking))
Now read these words of Jesus again with this in mind :

Red letters
1 Corinthians 11:26-32 KJV

Notice starting at verse 27 JESUS (not Paul) is speaking about eating 'Damnation' at Passover which we know is NOT possible in the BUT NOW nor is this about the Body of Christ where today we can be guilty of 'the body of blood of the Lord' and blamed for eating unworthily when the Body of Christ is blameless (1 Corinthians 1:8) sealed/ forgiven and justified by the blood of Christ. Who is this verse speaking of?

Luke 22:3-4 KJV
[3] Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. [4] And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

((Verse 23 - shows us the context takes place the 'Night Jesus was Betrayed'.))

1 Corinthians 11:23 KJV
[23] For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus. the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: The Night Jesus was betrayed :

Matthew 26:21-22 KJV
[21] And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. [22] And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?

Judas has a chance to repent BUT Judas partook unworthily- "Thou hast said."

Matthew 26:24-25 KJV
[24] The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. [25] Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

Damnation is not only "been good for that man if he had not been born"; BUT this damnation takes place when Judas who ate/partook unworthily and then ends with Acts 1:18 unto eternal damnation.

Acts 1:18 KJV
[18] Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

--- Doctrine of The Table -
Now this verse shows us 'The Doctrine of The Table' which Jesus will sit down with the 12 and the little flock with His believing remnant at "The Table" (his Bride) after His second coming in the millennial kingdom.

Luke 22:30 KJV
[30] That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Notice the Lords Supper is associated with the JEWISH Passover and Jesus will not eat again until it be "Fulfilled In the 'Kingdom' of God". (Earthly Program)

Luke 22:15-16 KJV
[15] And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: [16] For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

Matthew 26:29 KJV
[29] But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

In Proverbs Jesus is mostly referred to as "Wisdom".

-Foreshadowing Proverbs

9:1-5 KJV
[1] Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars: [2] She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table. [3] She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city, [4] Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, [5] Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.

Doctrine of the table

Psalm 23:5-6 KJV
[5] Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. [6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

The Table was suppose to be a BLESSING for Israel and now it is a CURSE 'except' for the believing remnant in the millennial kingdom which shall sit at the table. Yet the table is a 'snare' and a 'stumbling block' for them.

Romans 11:8-9 KJV
[8] (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. [9] And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:

This doctrine was spoken as early as Gen 14 :

Genesis 14:18-22 KJV
[18] And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. [19] And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: [20] And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. [21] And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself. [22] And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord , the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

Finally brethren you're at liberty and under grace take note of this last scripture :

1 Corinthians 10:31 KJV
[31] Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

My pleasure, and I am familiar with this problem.
It was a lot of work, but worth it.

Our Lord JESUS is with us, and let's open more eyes to the wonderful GRACE of our Lord and Savior JESUS!

In case your Bible reading is as bad as your English, then I understand you don't understand the article on baptism.

It's YOU ARE and not U R, and I'm Dutch, and I try to use proper English.
Now you try again to understand what this article is saying and from a spirit of love, in case you really know JESUS Christ.
Brother +Rosario DiPeri is not a Catholic and certainly not a satanist, but someone who is very HAPPY he got saved by the Lord JESUS Christ through FAITH in Him alone and His GRACE.
Are you HAPPY you are saved by JESUS?

  4. For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. - 1 Corinthians 1:17-24

  5. The Lord JESUS gave us ONE special Apostle and teacher: the Apostle Paul.
Not MANY teachers: ONE TEACHER, and that's why JESUS, who happens to be God almighty in the flesh=human capacity, saved SAUL when he was on his way to Damascus, being a RELIGIOUS JEW, who was willing to MURDER born again (Jewish) followers of JESUS, who were saved by our Lord JESUS Christ through His precious BLOOD.

So Saul was a BLIND SERVANT of SATAN!
As a Pharisee, a HYPOCRITE, because ALL religious people are HYPOCRITES, he was given the authority by his fellow Pharisees (the SAME kind of people who wanted to KILL our Lord JESUS Christ, and who brought SHAME to ALL the Jews, because of their REJECTION of JESUS and their betrayal of THEIR OWN Messiah YESHUA-Christ JESUS, to the EVIL Roman Empire, which crucified Him on behalf of the DEVIL, who, btw. fell into his own sword by doing so, because Satan tried to KILL JESUS many times before, but JESUS HAD TO be killed as the LAMB of God according to God's scheme and not according to Satan's agenda, according to the PROPHECIES) to PERSECUTE and KILL followers of the Lord JESUS Christ in Damascus!

Saul was acting according to HIS interpretations of the TENACH https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenach and the TORAH https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torah , but also according to other Jewish writings OUTSIDE of God's WORD, like the TALMUD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talmud , (and the TENACH (Old Testament) is indeed ALSO the WORD of God, and JESUS is that WORD, and JESUS, and especially His NAME is in fact HIDDEN in the Old Testament, but the NEW Testament reveals JESUS (God, manifested in the flesh) in all of His GLORY, but BLINDED by the DEVIL, he thought that the born again followers of JESUS, and especially the JEWISH JESUS-followers, were a THREAT to the Jewish RELIGION!

So he was VERY MOTIVATED to EXTERMINATE these so called 'heretics' wherever he could find them, unaware that he was in fact persecuting JESUS!!

So JESUS taught Him a LESSON he would NEVER forget:

Acts 9:4 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)
4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts+9%3A4&version=GNV

    Read the whole chapter: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?version=WEB&search=Acts%209

  6. If the older English of the Geneva Bible 1599 is a bit hard to understand, you can compare it with the World English Bible of 2002 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts+9&version=WEB

The Geneva Bible is not perfect, but to me it's superior to the KJV 1611.

What I'm saying is this: if you want to follow PEOPLE and many teachers then you will be lost in a SEA of DIFFERENT interpretations, and you won't be able to see the TRUTH.

JESUS is the TRUTH and He changed Saul, the JESUS-persecutor, into the APOSTLE PAUL, OUR Apostle of the GOSPEL of GRACE!

Follow HIS instructions ON BEHALF OF JESUS CHRIST!

And what did Paul teach us, on behalf of JESUS Christ?

Among many things, this: Is the Lords supper for the Body of Christ today? http://ezekiel38rapture.blogspot.nl/2015/10/is-lords-supper-for-body-of-christ-today.html

    The answer is SIMPLE: NO!!!

So if you want to go AGAINST Paul's teachings, you're FREE to do so, but then you're NOT pleasing JESUS, but your own RELIGIOUS FEELINGS of the FLESH.

    The same goes for baptism.

In the beginning of my walk with JESUS I knew VERY little of the Bible and I was a 'babe in Christ', but I was learning fast.
I met a fellow believer in a Youth for Christ-bar and I joined his Bible study group.

It turned out that he was a FALSE TEACHER, but at that time I wasn't yet aware of this.

He taught us that BAPTISM is needed, so he baptized me, and he taught that 'the Lord's Supper' is needed, so we did this RITUAL, and then he said that REAL RED wine was not GOOD (even though JESUS changed water into real RED wine, when He did His FIRST miracle on the wedding feast, and the red wine was of course referring to His BLOOD that would be shed in the future on the cross), and he began to do the RITUAL of 'the Lord's Supper' with GRAPE JUICE, so WITHOUT alcohol.

To make a long story short, because I can tell you much more about him: he KILLED HIMSELF with a BULLET THROUGH his HEAD, when I was no longer part of his group, because JESUS had already shown me (thanks to an older brother, called Abraham-Bram) that he was a false teacher.

His SUICIDE note was full with ACCUSATIONS against his MOTHER, but I believe he was mostly ANGRY at God-the Lord JESUS, because God didn't want to do things HIS WAY, which is a typical feature of all false teachers.

So, it's up to YOU: are you willing to listen to the APOSTLE Paul, authorized by JESUS, or are you looking for MANY more teachers?

I ask you this on behalf of JESUS.

I have been deceived too in the past, Katherine
, by people I thought who 'knew better' when I was a 'babe in Christ'.
It doesn't matter: I did it (baptism, the ritual of the Lord's supper) for JESUS, but it's NOT necessary.
Just keep trying to convince people of what's right and what's unnecessary for the members of the Body of Christ JESUS.

    Love in JESUS from Hans!
